I am a photographer and barber based out of Philadelphia, originally hailing from right across the good ol' Delaware River in South Jersey.
In my photography, I aim to explore the small, hidden worlds tucked away in the corners of our city’s frantic expansion in search of these sort of 'mystical' in-between spaces, where strangeness meets beauty: a place where the mysterious intersections of our seemingly thoughtless architectural plans and ideas unintentionally produce art. Anthromorphic mops. Chalk lines on the pavement. Succulents doing it doggie style in a window. You know the type.
In my barbering, I aim to take an agreed upon length of hair off your head in order to make you look as good as possible. Ideally for money and a generous tip.

(This picture was taken at the very origin of "Old Hank the Barber"-- over 3000 years ago (the exact date I do not remember) after I signed a Blood Contract with the mysterious and all-powerful Old Lords (their true names are not for man to know). I made this fateful decision in order to save my beloved cat Ophelia's life from a brain-eating amoeba she had contracted while drinking weird water from a puddle. The price was the horrible fate of eternal life. What's worse, in some cruel cosmic joke, Ophelia got killed a week later anyway by a horse-drawn wagon in the streets of Babylonia. Yes, a cruel joke indeed. I now cut hair in the city of Philadelphia, and I can only be released from my contract and finally be granted the sweet release of death once I have cut all the hair. Feel free to message me to learn more. I am an open book.)
